Arguing With God

"But who am I that I should go to Pharaoh?" "Who shall I tell them has sent me?" These are the first two questions that Moses asked of God while standing barefoot by the burning bush. It seems the more he asked his questions the less he had his inhibitions...Remember Moses had hid his face, because he was afraid to look at God, but now it seems that he is not afraid to talk to Him, and even to argue with Him.
In Exodus 3-4 we find a lengthy discussion, or some might even call it a dispute, between God and Moses. Who do you think is going to win?
After the first two questions God proceeds to give Moses detailed information about what He wanted Moses to do. Rarely has a man ever been given such explicit instructions for carrying out God's will. And that is what we are going to look at this week, God's instructions to Moses.
What instructions is God giving you today? Let me encourage you to take time today to listen to the Father as HE instructs your day. And if we can learn anything from Moses, it is most likely a good idea not to argue:)
Till Tomorrow...Bro. Alan (Portions of this blog are quotes from Philip Ryken)
